About me
Christy Willis is a school librarian in Duncanville ISD with 30 years of experience in education. She began her career teaching Social Studies in Grand Prairie ISD, followed by international schools in Haiti, South Korea, Italy, Guatemala, and Egypt before continuing her work in Duncanville ISD. For the past eight years, she has served as a school librarian, partnering with teachers to support literacy, inquiry, and student achievement across all content areas. Christy is passionate about building a culture of reading and lifelong learning and volunteers with the North Texas Teen Book Festival, Duncanville Reads, and her local public library. - Feel free to talk to me about anything library, cool opportunities to volunteer, your library design, fun activities you do in the library, and any topics you find interesting.
